More info

Rubber bedpan №3

pharmachologic effect

A rubber bedpan for nursing patients is a hollow, inflatable, pear-shaped product with a glued bottom, sleeve and cork.

The rubber vessel is usually used in the care of thin patients, because when in contact with the soft walls of a rubber vessel, the patient does not compress the soft tissues in the sacrum, which is important for the prevention of pressure sores, and no painful sensations arise.

It is used to care for seriously ill patients with a tendency to form or with already formed bedsores in hospitals, and at home with incontinence.

Material: rubber.

Size number 3 (550x450) mm.
Capacity - 1000 ml.

Mode of application

Turning the patient on his side, the vessel is placed under the sheet so that the pressured area of skin (usually the sacrum) falls over the hole in the circle. The vessel is inflated by mouth or by means of a bicycle pump. When mouth inflating, the valve is pre-wiped with alcohol, and the opening is covered with several layers of sterile gauze or a rubber tube is put on the valve. When filling the vessel with air, you need to ensure that it is sufficiently elastic, but not rigid.
